Do you have questions about life, about its purpose, and what, if anything, comes afterwards? Is there something missing from your life? Are you unfulfilled or unsatisfied? Are you hurting?

So often as we make our journey through life we make choices that seem right to us, but find out later that the consequences are not what we intended. As the Bible says in Proverbs 16:25, "There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death." By contrast, in John 6:35, Jesus declares "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst."

Even when difficulties come through no fault of your own, you can find help and comfort in Christ, as He said in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."

But how do you get to enjoy that rest? How can your hunger and thirst be satisfied? I believe that The Way to fulfillment starts with three vital steps:

Step one - believe in the one God, the Creator, and Father of the universe. Many non-Christians already accept this truth, but if you are struggling with it, I hope this will help.

Step two - believe in Jesus, the Son of God, who was a Teacher, a Healer, and the Saviour of the World. You might already believe that He lived, but maybe you are not convinced when it comes to miracles and the truth of Him being God rather than just a man. If so, please read this.

Step three - allow the Holy Spirit to fill you, by accepting Jesus as your Lord and your personal Saviour. Acknowledge that He died on the cross in atonement for the sin in your life, and that He rose on the third day, conquering death, so that He can promise you eternal life. Here is more information about that wonderful truth.

Taking those steps, you start an amazing journey, a Christian journey that means that your life will never be the same again. It won't always be an easy journey, in fact sometimes it will be very difficult. That's something Jesus knew and warned us about more than once. For example, in Matthew 7:14 He says "narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." But the rewards are immeasurable - "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him." (1 Corinthians 2:9, Isaiah 64:4)

As you embark on this journey, or even as you contemplate it, read the Story of Jesus, where you will find so much wisdom, inspiration and comfort. And then as you continue travelling, read more about the life God wants you to live, learning practical ways to apply the Word of God to the highs and lows you experience on your journey.

Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
